Questions I'm often asked about my marcom missions ▼
What are your strengths?
I get jazzed about writing, editing, and strategic communications that move missions forward.
I have passionately advanced the communications initiatives of not-for-profit, corporate, academic, and government organizations — among them, Special Olympics, American Red Cross, Mercer, George Washington University, U.S. Department of State, and U.S. Department of Defense.
Previously, as a magazine journalist, I earned first-place Excellence in Journalism awards from Press Clubs of America.
My project portfolio
includes hundreds of articles and digital content to promote business, education, technology, environmental issues, policy, health care, finance, philanthropy, arts, lifestyles, travel, and other topics.
How do you communicate the vision and mission of organizations?
As a reporter, writer and editor, I learned early on that it's not about knowing all the answers — it's knowing the right questions to ask.
To communicate wide-ranging issues to diverse audiences, I first form a clear understanding of organizational issues and target audience mindset.
Applying my strengths in research, interviewing, content strategy, writing, editing, and online content development, I deliver product that elicits emotion and generates action.
endeavor, employers and clients credit me for adding value to their organizations. In large part, that's because I truly care about the organizational mission.
